Dave Walick, M.D.

Psychiatrist

Dr. Walick is a board-certified Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist with years of clinical practice and leadership. He specializes in the comprehensive psychiatric treatment of children, adolescents, and adults.

An NCAA All-American soccer player and a distinguished graduate from the United States Air Force Academy in 1993, he earned his Master of Arts in Philosophy from Arizona State University and his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his psychiatry residency and child and adolescent fellowship training at the University Of Texas (UTHSCSA).

After many years of patient care and leadership in the Air Force, including service in Afghanistan, Dr. Walick retired from the military in 2016 and joined Children’s Hospital Colorado. In 2018, he achieved his lifetime dream by founding The Arete Center, a private practice behavioral health clinic where psychiatrists and psychologists collaborate to provide comprehensive and personalized mental health services to individuals, couples, and families.

He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP).

When he's not working, Dr. Walick likes to hit Colorado's slopes and mountain bike trails. However, his favorite pastime is supporting his daughters from the sidelines of their soccer games and in the audience of their dance recitals.
